“Nicky & I” Produced by Blackway and “In the Wee Hours“


“Nicky & I” is a short film being produced by award winning production company “In the Wee Hours” and Grammy nominated artist Blackway. Blackway is known for his role in gold records “What’s Up Danger” and from Sony‘s “Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.”


The story of Nicky & I starts with a young black girl growing up in an adoptive home, while trying to navigate her life as a hip hop producer and engineer. The plot takes you through the gritty streets of the New York City‘s strip club scene and doubles back to show the racial tension in the in the streets of Long Island. The films focus is to highlight transracial adoption and the lack of women in the music industry, specifically in Hip-Hop.

”Princess Adenike (​Ray Donovan)​ is set to star as Nicky. Rapper & actress Jennaske will star as Shanique. Laura Clifton ​(Happy Death Day)​ as Anne, TravQue (​Swag Inc) as James, Meinhard St. John (​Where the Windmills Are)​ as Will, newcomers Tom D’ Agustino and Elliot Lee Cowart have joined the cast.

Dan Hertzog (​In the Wee Hours)​ is set to shoot and direct, Ganna Hertzog (​In the Wee Hours)​ will be producing. Blackway & Renata ​Pastuszak will executive produce.”
