Albany, Georgia’s own Chinara Kendrick is matching the boss b*tch vibes for the Southern Girl Takeover. Even though she was shy at first, Chinara Kendrick stepped out into the music lane in 2014 as China Monai. After becoming a local sensation China Monai released her debut music video “Troubles” in 2020. Her energy and work ethic caught the attention of Ugly Money Niche which led to China Monai signing with his independent label Ugly Money Entertainment. She also caught the attention of well-known musical creators Pap Chanel and RemixGod Suede. China Monai makes balancing single-motherhood and a demanding career look easy. With over 60 shows and two national tours on her artistic resume, it’s safe to say China Monai has lost the shy demeanor she initially started with.

“Jetski” is a club banger. This is the kind of song you play on your way to a party. It’s a record to get you and your girls hype. The visual also plays into that feeling. The women are dressed in their best party attire dancing in front of the camera as if they’re checking themselves out in the mirror. Scene switches to them crowded around an all black truck with China Monai front and center, being hyped up before they pull off. We end up in the club for a live performance that has the crowd roaring. Pap Chanel compliments the energy with a swaggy verse.
