Kidd Kidd Explains The Differences Between Young Money & G-Unit.

New Orleans-bred rapper Kidd Kidd signed record deals with Lil Wayne and Young Money and 50 Cent’s G-Unit record label fairly early on in his career.

During his recent interview with Atlanta-based Diverse Mentality Podcast, Kidd Kidd spoke to podcast hosts Quake and Vito about several of the milestones of his journey including being recruited for Young Money along with Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga, becoming the fifth member of 50 Cent's label G-Unit following The Game's departure.

The massive two-hour plus interview truly captures the full scope of Kidd Kidd career in never-before-seen fashion as the former Gudda Gudda and Bobby Valentino collaborator discusses the highs and lows of his life including the near-fatal shooting, which left him wounded by six shots and occurred right after he initially met 50 Cent in 2011. Kidd Kidd also discusses the role he played in one of Lil Wayne’s defining hits — his 2008 anthem “Mrs. Officer."

He actually went into detail about the major differences between Young Money and 50 Cent during his interview, remarking on how he stood toe-to-toe with both Lil Wayne and 50 Cent due to his connections and lyrical talent.

Kidd Kidd has also collaborated with several major artists including Young Dolph in 2018 on his Unquestionable album track “Right On Time.” In 2015 Kidd Kidd appeared on the XXL Freshman Class cover alongside artists such as Vince Staples, Fetty Wap, K Camp and Shy Glizzy, among others.

After nearly a decade of grinding in the music industry, having released music independently and through the infrastructure of a major label deal, Kidd Kidd decided that it was time to start his own label Reallionaire Records (RLLNR Records.) After delivering three projects in 2020, Kidd Kidd released his 12-song album Real Is Rare, last year. He is currently gearing up to release his highly anticipated Street Fame album.
