HeyLo Wants To Tell The World Hello Her Own Way

Upper Marlboro native, HeyLo, was born Angel Hampton. She always had an interest in music, playing the congas in the church as a child, and even singing in the choir. She loved entertaining, performing in talent shows, for family, and reciting lyrics word-for-word in front of mirrors; her talent was undeniable, but it all started off as just a hobby.

In 2018, she had her first studio session and it left her with a feeling inside that was indescribable. Her passion for music that was once a secret instantly became something, she knew she wanted to pursue and take more seriously. She is inspired by the artist from her area such as, Rico Nasty, MoneyMarr, and Cordae; who have all worked hard and made a way for themselves in the music industry. Passionate about her growth as an artist, developing her image and sound, Heylo enjoys writing her own music. In 2018 she released her first mixtape and it received rave reviews. She began performing at open mics, controlling the crowds with her lyricism and undeniable stage presence.

HeyLo’s supporters describe her as humble, talented, and kind; constantly applauding her for remaining true to herself and motivating her to continue her journey to superstardom. She has created a movement for her fanbase, Greedy Gang, which is dedicated to her late father. Although he is not physically by her side, she feels his presence when she’s creating or performing on stage, and even in spirit, he is her #1 fan. Heylo debuts her first project, Level 26, in celebration of her birthday. Available on all platforms, the project features 6 tracks that introduce her fans to her R&B side as she incorporates singing into melodic beats. She intends to utilize her platform to honor him and bring awareness to the needs of those affected by poor mental health and addiction. With her lyrical content, versatility, and flow HeyLo will enter the industry as a strong component, proving that she is a force to be reckoned with.
