Cam Carter Is Next To Blow

Independent songwriter and recording Artist Matthew Cameron Carter also known as Cam Carter was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. In 2015 Cam Carter decided to take a leap of faith and move to the City of Dreams to pursue his career in music. He learned that you can be what you want to be if you just keep it real with yourself.

The Memphis Artist tells us he considers himself a songwriter first! Although his focus is primarily hip hop that doesn’t stop him from writing whatever he feels in the moment. He reveals, “I like to capture energy and utilize my ghosts and channel it into a story that paints a picture of whatever it is I see. “. Cam Carter says he studied all the greats and always believed that he could write just as good or better!

The 32-year-old artist says his sound is “muddy and wet”. He explained “I don’t want to compare myself to anyone but myself. But if I were to force a reference, I’d humbly say I’m Juicy J, 2 Pac, Kayne West and Lil Wayne mixed into a bowl with a splash of Paul McCartney.”

Carter is constantly tweaking his sound and style to continue to get better every day. The songwriter reveals he started writing is own lyrics in middle school and takes a lot of pride in that. However, Carter doesn’t produce or engineer any of his music he hires the professionals to put it all together.

Earlier this year, Carter was excited to announce that he had been booked to perform at the historic Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, due to the global pandemic Covid-19 the show got postponed.

For now, fans can listen to his newly released tracks “Spaceships” and “Just Listen” or they can look out for his new track “Pink Panther” ft Memphis Hip Hop Legend Kingpin Skinny Pimp set to be released in JUNE!

No word on what date he will drop new music but Carter tells us he is working on his debut album titled, “Halo into Hell”
