Meet Dani Leigh

Miami native Danielle Curiel, or Dani Leigh, is an up and coming force to be reckoned with. At the age of 18, Leigh was discovered by Prince when he asked her to write,direct, and star in his music video "Breakfast Can Wait", a single released by renowned artist in February of 2013. In an interview with RESPECT, she stated "I picked up a lot of traits from him. I'm smarter on business decisions that I make, my pen game is stronger and I'm just overall grateful. He made me realize I am made for this." The Dominican singer and dancer has worked with multi-platinum selling artists such as Pharrell and Meghan Trainor from a young age. In 2017, Leigh was signed to Def Jam Records and has since branched out to further her solo career, releasing her first project titled "Summer With Friends" this past September. Her combination of unique beats and soothing voice makes Leigh's music captivating and gives the audience a nostalgic feeling for rhythm and blues. This entertainer is a role model and inspiration for other young adults, females, and artists trying to develop their careers. In songs such as "On" and "Lurkin'", which was featured in Season 2 of Insecure, her love of trap music and her hispanic upbringing shine through giving listeners a refreshing twist on Rnb.
