Mary J. Blige - "Bounce Back 2.0"
Just days after receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul has released a “Time’s Up” anthem titled “Bounce Back 2.0.” In the wake of the recent Time’s Up movement, Blige starts off the song by delivering a powerful message.
“Ladies, let me tell you something / We’ve come too far to lose / We’ll win this battle / We suffer hard for love / Look what we’re made of / Beautiful scars on us / This life is what we make it / Won’t change a thing / Ain’t worried about it, no.”
The empowering track is just one her many songs that talks about women bouncing back from the lows, especially those who are fighting against discrimination, sexism and harassment. This is Mary's first new song since the release of her album Strength Of A Woman back in April 2017.
