199X's 'Kandyland' EP is What You Should Be Listening To


199X is here to stay. The upcoming, independent artist just recently released his new EP called “Kandyland." The project is a four-track effort that was fueled by the high of throwing secret, exclusive house parties that would soon turn into strip clubs in LA. The parties were named "Kandyland," and are what ultimately inspired 199X's project.


Bass-heavy productions on standout tracks such as “Gone” and “Kamera” show what 199X is capable of in making in his music. However, 199X is far more than your go-to for club bangers. The rapper grew up bouncing between Wichita, KS, Atlanta, Orlando, and is now based in— Los Angeles

“I was first introduced to music when I was 6. I had this anger management counselor who like taught me how to play drums at his church,” 199X explained.


He took music seriously when he was in high school, and the rest is history. Previous releases such as "Eat Pray Numb" show a different side of him, but also displays his versatility. While he will be releasing more music this year, be sure to check out "Kandyland!"
